Does Medicare cover medical care outside the United States?

Medicare usually provides very limited coverage outside the United States. There are a few exceptions for certain emergencies and specific situations. Some Medicare Supplement plans and Medicare Advantage plans may offer foreign travel emergency benefits. Review your plan before traveling internationally.
