Is there a maximum on Medicare Part D prescription costs?

For 2026, out-of-pocket costs for covered Part D prescriptions are limited to $2,100 for the calendar year. After reaching that limit, you generally pay nothing out-of-pocket for covered Part D medications for the rest of the year. This limit does not include your plan premium or medications that are not covered by your plan.
