Will private hospitals accept Medicare plans?

There are two types of Medicare plans, and the way that they are accepted by insurance companies is very different. The first option is Original Medicare with a Medigap plan. On these plans, you do not have a network, so you can go to any doctor or hospital (around 97% of providers in the US accept Medicare). The second option is Medicare Advantage. On these plans, you have a network, so some providers will not accept your plan if you are not in the network or if they don’t accept Medicare Advantage at all.
